I know it happens to all of us, sometimes.
Everything's been grey lately. Nothing's been interesting to me for a long, long time. Nothing's been exciting, nothing more than 'meh-worthy.'
What happened?
How do other people get through it? I just can't get over how intensely disinterested I am in perfume these days...actually, I can't get over how intensely disinterested I am in EVERYTHING these days. All I really want to do is crawl into a little ball and disappear for a little while.
Going to the Sniffapalooza in October, though, and I'm hoping those two days of manic energy will bring me out of my slump.

I think I know how you feel. please take a little pot with earth into your hide-away place and plant a sunflower seed there. Wait a while and then enjoy the growing power of new life.
Ah, honey...
It's approaching the birthday time, too.
Fall is a beautiful, but strange season- full of longings and regrets, for many.
But new beginnings, too.
Don't forget THAT.
And that we love you- near, or not.
I think we all need some time to rest and reflect...spiritually, emotionally and physically. I go through periods of burnout too, about perfume and lots of other things. Sometimes that sparks me toward another interest.
You'll find your center again.
*worrywart* Don't let it go on too long. Are you sleeping well and eating well and having a social life of some sort (not isolating)?
I've had perfume burnout many times over the years, but the desire always returns. Don't give away your collection ;-)
As for the general ennui, maybe it's just your soul's way of telling you to rest up for the next big thing.
Wow, thanks, everyone...yeah I've not checked the blog for a bit...I'm back...I had a Lolita Lempicka craving for a bit...Chaya, how right you are re: fall...and birthday...hugs...
When I have these weird times, the best thing is to move, exercise. Go out and run and run and run! You need endorphins. Jogging is the best cure. And try to find a new hobby, new books...
Good luck.
